Those Naked Guys – Volume I Coming Soon!

Things have been a little quiet on the TNG front, but only because we here at Riotous Records have been rather busy. It is still moving forward and looking like a mid 2009 release of this highly anticipated history lesson of Those Naked Guys. www.riotousrecordsusa.com

Flat Affect/Cat’n'Bone (split) – Fucks all the Girls in the World

An album that can only be described as an exploration of pornography and nature. Take one half Flat Affect (from America) and one half Cat’n'Bone (from Russia) and you get this wonderful split record full of harsh pornoise.

Plus, it’s Pornoise for Charity! That’s right. We allow YOU to decide how much you pay for this album, and whatever you pay us, we will donate HALF to charity! What charity? Dave (Riotous Records co-founder) will personally go to local fast food restaurants and gas stations and put the donate half of the money into whatever charity jar the place of business has on their counter!

We’re counting on you to be somewhat honorable here, folks, and add the $2 shipping into your donation. If you don’t give us at least $2.02 ($2 for shipping, $.01 for us, and $.01 for the charity), we won’t be able to send you out the CD. www.riotousrecordsusa.com

Jesus Fucking Christ and the God Damn It’s

Jesus Fucking Christ and the God Damn It’s have had a little time off. There is rumor of a few shows, but they refuse to post or inform anyone of any solid information. There is their drummers release this Tuesday with Alluvia as mentioned above. There is also talk about them recording a tribute to Those Naked Guys as well as starting work on their new full length album that they claim will be called Nudity. At this point, this is about as much as we know. Until then, pick up some of their other music or download it (see below)! www.riotousrecordsusa.com

Other News, Rumors, And Information

Some of you may have noticed we have taken a lot of content off of your myspace page. This is because it is too much like work to keep up with this and the main website. So no worries, nothing is gone, just go to www.riotousrecordsusa.com and it is all there plus some! We have also added upcoming shows from our artists on our myspace page. We will do our best to keep this current, but it is still best to check the actual bands page to be sure we haven’t missed something.

Remember, He Has Risen by JFCatGDI’s is also available at Interpunk.com so maybe you should order from them if you don’t trust ordering from us already! That or you could really save in shipping if you were going to order other stuff from other bands and wanted it to all ship together in a nice package from the kind folks at Interpunk. www.riotousrecordsusa.com

I have toyed with the idea of putting out a comp sometime and I just can’t seem to make up my mind. There are all kinds of reasons that make sense to put one out, but then again, who really listens to the things? Then there is the whole, do we do it with ONLY Riotous Records bands or do we do it with anyone who is accepted? I have also thought about doing one of just music from the state of Kentucky since we are not only based here in the middle of the state, but also because you never hear much about bands from Kentucky, but there are TONS of them! I know if I were to put one together, I would do everything in my power to make sure that there are more changes in quality and style of music as possible. I hate comps full of the same kinds of music for 50 minutes, but by all different bands that when mashed together onto one album all sound the same. Plus, there is no real way for a band on a comp to make anything, usually bands actually PAY to be on a comp. The loss of money is great, but the exposure for all the bands who otherwise may not ever be heard by someone who bought it for a few bands on it they like is priceless. So now my personl problem with putting out a comp can also be yours. Should we do it, or should we just leave it alone? Would you buy it if we put it out?

Seriously! I love cool weather. Winter is my favorite time of year. Ice Hockey is heaven to me. Playing in the snow is something I actually look forward to. Then there is this. It is currently 1 outside right now. This kind of cold is just stupid. Sure if I lived in a place that was supposed to be cold like that, then I would have nothing to bitch about, but I live in the center of the state of Kentucky and it should never get this cold here. At least I don’t think it should. I think I need to talk to someone about this. So since the temp has dropped so low it is stupid, how about this…. send me an e-mail dave@riotousrecordsusa.com from now until Sunday (1/18/09) night at 10pm Eastern and tell me what the weather has been like these last couple of days and in turn I will let you pick one of our releases that you really would like to have but haven’t bought yet for $1.00 and that includes the shipping! You know what to do.
